talk and after thought

i attended a panel discussion by 1 ex-nmp: dr ngiam tee liang, 1 ex-mp: dr vasoo and 1 nmp: dr mehta...
they were sharing their views on bugdet 07.

suddenly i felt i should hone my econs knowledge and make some differences in the lives of pple.
garner the support of people and resonant the woes of the citizens of the poorer strata...

sigh... hmm... i know every practicum has its value...i just hope that God will land me onto one that allows me to glorify and magnify Him...

i tend not to venture into prisons or medical...though they pay higher.
i think of children, family and youth...
listening to troubles of teens... esp relational ones.

where will my path lead me to?????
what type of social worker will i be? a voice for the poor, injustice? a channel of blessing, used by God?

oh.. lordie lordie

i think its very important work tat you want to do. listening to the voices of adolescents and children.. They have a lot of needs, surely there are so many out there who need help!

When i go home in a few months' time, u can share with me your exp at the care community. and perhaps i will have stuff to say too! from the perspective of psychology :)

Jia you!

oh!!! thanks zj!
i hope i can gather lotsa valuable within the few months of placement.
really, the more is study (esp social sciences), i think education as more of a life-skill, a continous input of knowledge and working with people... ultimately, it's not grades... it is what we take out of it.

and i do like to hear from ur perspective =)
