first of all, happy new yr...the yr of 2005. we are one yr older.how do u feel when u realise that time just passed so quickly, at a twinkling of an eye, snapping of fingers..i'm 21 this yrs...(then again, pple think i'm 16 while others think i'm 24). age doesn't matter.wisdom, perhaps. de walk with God is nonetheless, crucial.
i went to st johns the day after that cruel tsanami hit asia.
i left spore not knowing how devastating and how enormous this natural disaster was.
i thank the One up there that spore is spared. i am VERY thankful.
the last days of 04 were interesting,memorable, last but not least, shaken.
baptism took place on 26th morning. the waves at ecp was exceptionally strong..
i learnt that frisbee can be played competitively. pretty shack experience.
i'm glad i took the step of faith.
27th dec - 30th dec, st john island
stayed over at church...the group leaders and comms stayed over for the final phase of preps..could see that all of us were excited about the camp.
the highlight, off course, was at st john's where the camp was held. (sheesh, the slope up from jetty to bunk area is challenging..at least 200m doing upslope climb)
the entire experience was great. i really enjoyed myself. iz tiring but fun. knowing brothers and sisters from other presbyterian churches..some of them are jrs fr schools. i did things i nv done b4. relied on Him for strength..cos i was rather helpless at times when my assistant GL went for worship prac.
this camp also allowed me to see how some covenantors work and think..hope these information can help me with the organising of yaya camp in june 05.
well well......05 is the yr of hope..though the solemn mood of tsunami incident is immensely felt.
read yday's life! section of the straits time and u can find out there are also things to look fwd to in 05.
i'm gonna ord in 3 months time. CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT
i'm gonna study in 8 months time.
i'm gonna look for my first job.
i'm coming out from the NS..that's like woah..military to civilian..that conversion is a sweet sweet wan.
did my countdown in camp.(how memorable)performed my last DOO duty. had a lil jack daniel and coke ... with chips and a quarter pounder meal to welcome in the new yr...there's also taufik's "I DREAM" MTV shown on national tv. I was really glad that mediacorp and sentosa managed to agree not telecast the countdown at sentosa. B4 they announced that, i was thinking how ethical and insensitive the local entertainment industry wld be when asia is struggling with the aftermath of de tsunami and spore welcoming new yr with bangs and music.
till date, sporeans have donated $8.3 million dollars. =)
i believe the nations affected need money, followed by provision...money is more liquified. then again, the aftermath is really overwhelming and i think it definitely will be worsened.
IF SPORE WAS HIT, at least half of us will be in underwater world. we are protected....it's saddening to see images and hear updates about this casestudy-to-be.
the wrath of mother nature swept across the face of asia, w/o mercy, destroying fragile lives.
sigh.
my ma's in hospital.3 days already. low on K. visiting later.

i'm excited to see the new batch of YA tmr.....
indeed, a new yr is a new yr..let's embrace it with love hope joy peace.
