DO NOT QUIT – RACE ON

6 more days.
that's the number of days left to my last final NUS exam which thus marks an end to academic (school) examination.
heaving a sigh of relief.

I will recall with deeep gratitude how my teachers and friends, support from church, chek and God have been throughout my study days. It's been in my mind the carious categories of educational phases... how weird that they have impacted many of our lives, at least to me.

thing is, at the end of the day, how do i utilise what i've learn to benefit the people around and myself because at the end of the end, knowledges are tools which will rust in my older days unless i sharpen it.

I haven't been posting but i'm content at the way i'm finishing this race- with positive, honest comments from friends, doing things i nv thought i can do, dare to do - running up the AS4 slope, acting on stage with friends, doing short films-Set: Cent. Lib.

I shan't write too long... there's something i like to share with you.
It's something Dr Vasoo shared with us. I thought it's one of the coolest way to end school.

"I never forgot those words . . . I learned something that day about the race. For, we are all in a race, whether we realize it or not. LIFE IS A RACE, and there is more than a physical pain in your side that you must endure if you are going to finish. When life’s pains torment your mind, spirit and heart, you must determine to not be a quitter. You must catch the wind of endurance in your spirit and even though it hurts you can’t lose HOPE or even consider giving up."

(Phil Enloe. Don’t Quit Now p.122)

in relation to the Word of God.
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." - Hebrews 12:1
# why do we live, what's the purpose? is it to achieve worldly possession so that we can lose it at the days of my dying years? i know i am in this world but not of this world. I belong to the kingdom of an eternal God. and each of us do have a part in us that ponders "can i live forever?"#

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize."- 1 Corinthians 9:24
# do we run for nothing? stupid rite? keep fit arh? nah, thank God i have a destination. and there's Jesus at the finishing line for me...(and you). Everyone's a winner because of His redemption for us at the cross.#

"through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope" - Romans 5:2-4
"Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus" - 2 Tim 2:3
# yea, many times, i came face to face with challenges and each time He is there to help. It's through small amount of faith that we have in Christ that we know we can learn to entrust bigger things to Him. Challenges faced in school are many...and as i look back, they seem small and insignificant but i think they help with life experience and faith-building at some points. (sigh, i'm seriously doing unjust to what i really wanna say by writing in this shallow manner..haha)#

"...and of Christ Jesus our hope" - 1 Tim 1:1b
#If Christ who is a Good Teacher (whose words are somehow very credible and action widely observed) died on the cross in order for our sins to be pardoned by God did not resurrect, He cannot be an eternal Hope. Praise God for this miracle and His grace that I have come to know Him-a great high Priest whose Name is Love; Who ever lives and pleads for me.My name is graven on His hands ("Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands."-Isaiah 49:16), My name is written on His heart.I know that while in Heaven He stand no tongue can bid me thence depart.#

yes! that's what i thought of when Dr V shared with us on the last day of community module.

thank ol' man. good luck to ur research company!
