a life w/o work and its contrast

It has been very long since I see my mother at home when I wake up at 10am at home.
She would have been at work by then.
Now…she has quitted because she is getting intolerable with the discomfort she has on her hands.

I woke up with mandarin worship songs in the air.
I went out of my bedroom, saw my mummy reading the bible…

I was pleasantly surprised.
And I thank God He showed me this.

With the intensity of lesson increasing when tutorials kick off next week, I foresee a busier William.
With s2006 just around the corner, I’ll be busier…

Juggling many things…
Next yr, it shall not like this.

C’mon man, who am I trying to kid?
Mt KK prep(Sundays in mar- june?? Not all Sunday la…), TMT07 (dec), I wanna do regular volunteering by then! (with nvac) , RA (applying),Attachment (hey! School mod ok! May-July), CG (Fridays), Tuition (2x a week), Synod / EP youth camp (promised to help JJ if there’s one), Music Ministry (prob April 07 onwards), voice lessons (if I have the support and time)…and I wonder what else.

I do wanna explore more things when I am young and fit.
Another 8 yrs, I’ll be 30…OMG!

Get Lost! race- adventure race for the Presbyterian youth!

“It was really God’s blessing”
“We are blessed.”
“God’s blessing.that…”

Those were the things I heard after today’s race.
Today was the Presbyterian Synod Youth Ministry’s Amazing Race Event- “Get Lost!”
This idea was birthed months ago and I was given the honour of leading a small yet passionate group of fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

The preparation was filled with excitement, disagreements, angst, frustration, lost-ideaness, tiredness… and for me it was an opportunity for me to recognise some issues that have been ignored for a great period of time. On top of that, I do enjoy the fact that the working committee are made up of young people from different congregation of the Presbyterian family. The last person who joined us was Yeelin and I thank God for her resourceful, professionalism and the effort that she put in to come up with aesthetically designed clue cards…. Really, no one else could and would have done that. Special thanks to u (haha) though u would be reading this blog.

Through this, I see that it is very human to be tensed up, nervous, worried. Yes, we maybe Chrstian but we are not perfect. But it seems that all of us managed to keep our cool, esp Jeff, Eric and Junpei… We have Christ. That’s the different. The fact that He is our Saviour and that in Him we have Life, the fact that He is living in us and that we are dead to ourselves…that the holy spirit is ever present to aid us and that the love of Christ allows the team to come through. Thank you Jesus.

Even though we were only told to do up the story line but the feedback I got was positive and I have God and huiqi to thank. Yeah. It was definitely not easy and for someone like me who is not creative, the respond was consoling. =)
We had to dress up into pirates also. It was Wilson’s idea. Some of us didn’t. but I managed to pull it off!! Shall update my picture when I have the chance.

There were problems but were manageable. The one that wasn’t was the quick downpour.
Some groups were lost….went to the wrong church… then again, this is amazing race and what kick would there be if things like these do not happen.
This race has another dimension to it. There were roles like traders, spies and the purpose was to allow different teams to interact so as to get resources of certain kinds...
I was pleasantly surprised that the event started on time!! Amen! PTL!
=)

And as we are strengthening God's kingdom, the warriors at the battle ground will inevitably face wars spiritually. Pls do not mistaken this as some mystifying outta the world 2 spirits fighting with swords and gun..nah, these are real. Unseen but real. I know my team members face problems of their own, me too....., he too...and i'm glad that Jesus is faithful.
So hang in there. Satan will kill, steal and destroy but He is only the prince of the world;ours will always be the King of Kings...Prince of Peace...AMEN to that.

Had dinner with the committee b4 I joined the 2 covenant teams at Holland v for desert.
Over there, Ryan and Andrew shared with me testimonies and how God was blessing them and they were edifying brothers and sisters in their team. Really, I love to listen to testimonies. I think they remind me of the constant and fair goodness and love that God has for His children. Furthermore, these serve as a motivation for me not to siam Him.

Befriended a fren of my race advisor. The new fren is a Korean. She is 21 and is an exchange student to Singapore- NUS Bizad. Been crossing path with Koreans nowadays after the tv series Da Jangguem – Jewel in the Palace. 大长今。
So after dinner, she exchanged number with the rest of the committee members who are from NUS. =)

One more thing… I like the dry fit t-shirt for the race!!! Very comfortable.

To sum the race up:
Tired and great learning experience which allows me to understand more about myself and how God never leaves me.

had my first day of school. got bombarded with ppc, mb, mc, ldmr, resources, time, UTILITY... goodness. when was the last time i was serious with econs? 4yrs ago...2002. and then, i was at the brink of dropping either this or physics.

went pr keith's house for the first time this evening. small and cosy. i think i want a small home next time so it'll be easier to tidy up. Then i guess i must learn how to dispose things...being sentimental, i keep quite a lotof stuff from sec schools...
celebrated ruth's birthday (we have 20 plus cakes...they are fruit tarts la...) and her farewell...
fortunate girl... it was not the only time she is celebrating these events... her dad's going to do a tea party or something like that this sat and on sun...the church bros and siss are going lunch and kbox...

Relationship.

for the past months during sermons, i hafen been filling up all the blanks in on the bulletin sheet.
instead, i have been taking down points unprinted but mentioned by the speaker. instead, i have been jotting down impt stuff..stuff that rings..onto my paper.

for if u had read one of the entries i had written...i mentioned about relationship with God.
and
one of the lessons learnt with from 'click' is to cherish r/s esp when the pple are still alive.

God, being alive...

have i cherish Him?
have i put in first? have i not been truthful?
have i not trust him? what does it mean to trust Him?
have i not invested time in this precious and invaluable r/s?
have i forgotten that His blood has redeemed my family? that His grace has brought my entire family, including my stubborn siz to Him?!
No! i am not saying i am not a christian. I AM. and i know that it is nv an easy path. well..the rewards will be in heavens...for eternity.

W's week 0

W had lotsa fun during his Orientation week. – week 0 of school. I wouldn’t tell you who W is… well in fact that’s not the point.

Honestly he hadn’t a week that gotten by so fast, not in Singapore at least.

He watched ‘click’ with his fren on Monday
He went singing with his frens on Tuesday... followed by tuition then night cycling from 2230hrs ro 0600hrs.
He watched his FIRST NATIONAL DAY PARADE at the NATIONAL STADIUM b4 it shuts down for a major revamp with his fren on Wednesday. And this was after he met his dhschoir frens for brunch. And glad was he then after 6yrs... they still meet up regularly...and boy...catching up with old frens is one of his fav activities.
He went singing (again) with his frens on Thursday.
…
Like any good, long show, there is an intermission for a breather…. that happened on Friday.
And… he had a chance to catch up with the important ‘backstage crew’ and they showed him how beautiful fireworks are. Even before his adventure started on Monday evening, he went to sarah lim’s place to fly kite, eat chicken rice with 4 other crews.
…
So
He watched fireworks with his fren again on Saturday

Lesson learnt:
Mon: go for honeymoon and leave your work behind. In short, put family ahead of work. Another words, relationship with ppl is more impt compared to prestige, wealth, status.

Tues: always go to the proper photocopying shop for printing. For the sake of professionalism.

Wed: Singaporeans are potential oscar winners. Well… Singapore gov might just wanna make Singapore a hub for acting.

Thurs: rmb the shop “WHY PAY MORE” … I know why: so that pple can sing to their hearts’ content and not get ‘invited’ out.

Fri: good to take break

Sat: Good to share the beauty

Someone told him that
‘hey! U are nice to girls leh… even at my age I also can feel it…’
Hahaha…and how stunned W was when someone who is 12 yrs older than him told him that.

IS HE??

W wishes that school sem starts soon.
He wishes that sem starts soon so that his busy and hectic schedule will sorta determine whether his dilemma right now is real.
He wishes that when sem starts, things will get clearer.

And even as he didn’t tell me more about this fren of his …. i think he surely enjoy the company of that fren.

He showed me his photos taken at his first ndp parade… and how excited he was when he shared with me.

Since W was rather open in his sharing, I advised him on the importance of knowing one’s priority. Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness… and lastly… 纸是包不了火的。 And when that happens….the paper will turn into ashes and up till now, I reminded him that only Christ has turned ashes into beauty.

I wished him well.

Enough about him, my first day of my second yr is at the doorstep.
Taking 3 sw mod, 1 econs exposure and level 2 thai language…
My beloved sister celebrated her BIG 2 birthday ... with the same kind of cake... but with 17 lesser candles compared to last yr.

..................... I realised i shouldn't talk too much, perhaps i should think first...in fact...i should switch off my ears too........ relieved for a yr!!!! WOOOOOAH!!! =) time flies by... and really 未来是值得去憧憬。
